I have been meaning to read this book for some time now but it has been a challenge to find it in Philippines bookstores. Today I got lucky, I found one at Fully Booked, Greenhills, San Juan. I tried to read few pages to see if it’s worth buying and stocking at my already too crowded with books room - and first few lines told a story about a drunken loser, gambler, whose life plan is to become a writer. How can I resist? How can I possibly resist? Probably it’s nature’s way to tell me the book is one of those I can’t miss in this lifetime. I have decided to purchase it. I have so far read 9 pages at Jco donut and coffeeshop and already laughing my way to next brewer coffee and almond donut. I love the author’s humour and realistic approach to life. It’s funny and very informative at the same time. *will update this review as I read along
